When it comes to unsung heroes of the Bristol music scene, Ossia is high up on this list. He is one of the latest members of the Young Echo collective. Running the record labels NoCorner, Peng Sound, FuckPunk, Hotline, LAVALAVA and the record store RwdFwd, he is one of the next generation shaping the contemporary scene and musical face of Bristol. As a composer, DJ & curator who has been involved in putting on events & releasing music for just under a decade, he is always keen to keep the listener on their feet, always aiming for something authentic, intuitive and unique.

His first 12" was released in 2014 and was a collaborative affair with Vessel, under the aliases 'Ape & Oa$is'. 'Red X', his first solo release as Ossia was launched via Blackest Ever Black in 2015, since then he has worked on a new solo live show, released two experimental word-sound projects with vocalist and poet chester giles for FuckPunk and Empty Head Rich Heart, and he has worked on remix projects for Berlin's Portals Editions and Bristol's Derelicht. Ossia's style is raw and hard to define, with a keen ear for off-kilter sonics and abstracted rhythm. Being subjected to his amalgamations is always rewarding on a deeper level.
