Chevel, is the main pseudonym of Dario Tronchin, an Italian composer and producer whose works range from intricately programmed sound-design through art-inspired and colour-rich compositions. Hailing from Treviso, Tronchin moved to Berlin in 2008 where his sound transited a metamorphic process. Displaying a new found sonic maturity rooted in cinema and futurism, Dario has been invited to release on leading labels such as Stroboscopic Artefacts, Different Circles and Non Series, whilst simultaneously curating his own label Enklav. Often collaborating with like-minded musicians Dario promotes a forward looking attitude to exploration and futuristic sound-biased experiments. Pioneering a new sound described as “weightless” Chevel has certainly attracted his fair share of international press including obscure platforms such as The Wire and Pitchfork, who recognise Dario’s ability “to take things apart and break preconceptions”. Chevel’s latest EP entitled "In A Rush And Mercurial" (released July 2018), is composed of 12 tracks recorded during an artistic residency at the French Pavillon of the Venice Biennale.
