Debacle

Debacle Records is an experimental record label from Seattle, Washington. Debacles focus is on providing self-contained, complete and pristine recordings, ranging from new primitive americana forms, heavenly drones, shredding noise, off kilter pop, and synth-soaked esoteric recordings. A consistent thread is engrained based on light harmonics, a bounding journey and a bright sense of gratitude. Founded by Samuel Melancon in 2004 the label has over 100 releases to it's name and naturally favours acoustic guitars, complex melodies and bouncing progression with bright timbre. It's been said that whilst Debacles aural experimentations range far and wide, all the releases maintain a wonderous fragility manifested in strange yet colourful performances laden with "shimmer” and a "hidden sense of joy”.
