Lucy (Luca Mortellaro) is one of the pre-eminent sonic adventurers of his time, unbound by conventional pre-conceptions, Lucy has evolved his distinct sound signature by reconciling deep personal adventures to produce an immersive and esoteric aesthetic. By harmonising the inner spheres of technology and biology he has forged a unique trajectory as an artist, with an innate ability to captivate audiences whilst also introducing them to unfamiliar sonic elements and sound palettes. Having traversed a vast proportion of the planet Lucy has absorbed knowledge of psychology, meditation, ritualistic practices and horticulture all of which are evoked through layered mutations of techno and experimental electronica. His acclaimed monthly Sound Bath Meditation Sessions in Berlin, involve the use of indigenous tribal instruments which demonstrate further his capability and passion for this practice. Lucy's performance at the Rossini Opera Festival in 2012 (an honour only granted to one globally respected artist per year) evidences his ability to deliver a bold yet avant-garde message. Ultimately, whether he is adorning the role of producer, artist or Stroboscopic Artefacts’ curator, Lucy’s clear passion for creative evolution and mutation of academic disciplines is something that continues to intrigue and attract new listeners.
