Whether your penchant is oscillating ambient soundscapes, grungy techno-acid breaks or neck breaking hip hop fused electro-funk, Shipwrec appears to nail them all to the wall with an infectious, carnal nature at heart. If the MO for this Nijmegen based cohort was to produce skeletally challenging, groove riddled acidic mayhem then they have certainly delivered in true Dutch style. Clear focus is placed on the desertion of trends, producing stylistically balanced EP’s, favouring spaced out grinding electro-cuts with hand-made art evoking in an innate coarse personality.
