Haunter Records

Exploration of the Haunter Records catalog is akin to sleep paralysis or traversing abandoned ghost-cities in that the mind catches glimpses of past utopia, future dystopia, improbable worlds, de-evolved languages and indecipherable abstractions. Since its inception in 2013, the label has functioned as a cultural platform connecting musicians operating across a myriad of different styles and approaching electronica from different perspectives. United by the same intrigue in what is perceivable or indeed achievable within the concept of being human and engaged in the production of music, be it disassembling the politics of dancing or channeling imaginary landscapes through sound design, by exploring autobiographical harmonies or a ritualistically crafting of noise for spiritual purposes. Founded and run by Daniele Guerrini (Heith) and Francesco Birsa Alessandri (Sense Fracture) in Milan, the label initially sprawled from a core group of musicians and sound designers into a revered experimental music label as it is known today. Supporting the profound deconstructions of ZULI, Lutto Lento, Petit Singe and Jesse Osborne-Lanthier, Haunter releases often tactically evade definition, serve as a critical resource of the chaotic and the contradictory; and have garnered substantial sync interest from the likes of Virgil Abloh’s Off-White & C.P. Company.
