TRATRATRAX

Founded in Colombia in 2020 by Nyksan, DJ Lomalinda and Verraco, TraTraTrax is an independent label and curatorial platform redrawing contemporary electronic music attitudes. Its principle of “sonic impurity” brings dembow, guaracha, cumbia, techno, ambient and bass into volatile configurations, resisting rigid genre divisions and reductive ideas of a singular “Latin” sound. Across more than 30 releases, the label has built connections between Latin America, its diaspora and wider, pairing Nicola Cruz, Dengue Dengue Dengue and Nick León with a rising generation of uncompromising artists. Regional rhythms become foundations for intricate sound design, percussive experimentation and formidable low-end pressure.
